Escape Pod's weekly individual story download numbers currently exceed the subscription figures of the Magazine of F&SF. Just got this off the latest Escape Pod podcast. Any idea what this means?
Is our hobby of speculative short fiction really so marginalized that only 4000 copies of an individual magazine sells on the stand? Is that a yearly figure? Even if it's monthly... wow.
Short fiction writers-- do you realize that a well written blog could very well get you more eyeballs by a factor of ten? Why do we even care about breaking into the "Big 3" anymore?
