New leaves unfurl like flags. They're so delicate and tiny, but up close, you can see the veins and stomata. Leaves seem to be born wholly formed, like Athena.

This week's photos are a bit more abstract that what I have been posting. With extreme focal distances at the macro level, much of the canvas because large swaths of color. It really works to emphasize small subjects like this little leaf.
