Photo of the Day: Dancer 2

To take this photo at this angle, I was sitting in a pit off to the side of the patio that they were using as their stage. Normally, the pit I was in was a fountain full of running water, but they apparently have it empty for big events like this, probably to keep kids and dumb photographers from falling in.

This is an odd pose, but I liked how much it varied from the other dancer photo I kept. I could have showed this dancer doing the same thing as the other one, but I wanted this series to reflect more of the complexity of the dance. For some reason, I'm really drawn to the shoes. I wonder if that's the point?
