Photo of the Day: Woodpile
My understanding is that a musician that is a friend of Sarah's will be using this as artwork for his album cover. So that's cool. This is an old one, and I haven't posted it as a photo of they day already.
So, weekend shot. We went to Denver and had brunch with my stepmother. Immediately after, I began to have an over-eating related panic attack that lasted 3 hours, almost as long as the last one, and nearly killed me. I sat in the back area of a restaurant freaking out, running to the bathroom to retch, pacing, and trying not to black out. My breathing was out of control, and I was numb all over. The walk to our car was 4 blocks of summer heat, which I just knew was going to be the final straw. Any time I even thought about trying to make the walk, I panicked worse. I had taken a xanax at the onset of the attack, but having just eaten, I don't think it went into effect until near the end.
Sarah drove the car down to me, and I jumped in behind the wheel. With the air conditioning blowing right on me on high, I felt a little better. I began to drive us out. I'd panick at each stoplight, but on the open road, I calmed down. After about 20 miles, I realized my eyes were having trouble focusing, and I was starting to nod off. Yep. The xanax had finally kicked in. We pulled over and Sarah drove the rest of the way, while I nodded off.
By the time we got back to Fort Collins, the attack had passed, but I was exhausted. I was asleep on the bed with the fan right in my face by 6 and didn't wake up until 8 the next day.
The next day, I couldn't do much more than lay in bed with the laptop and watch bad TV. I still feel awful today, but a little better. I'm very nervous about eating anything, and the highs in the upper 90s today have me really nervous. I took half a xanax today, just in case, so of course I'm drowsy as all hell.
I wouldn't normally post this much detail about my personal problems in a non friendslocked post, but I offer this story as an excuse for why I got no new photos taken this weekend. Sorry. I will try to get some done on Tuesday when my new lens arrives.
