Photo of the Day: Lookout Marmot

Marmots are about the only animal I can get close enough to get a good shot of with my current lens. So I find myself returning to them repeatedly, sneaking close to their burrows, so I can get shots like this. They're ridiculously cute. Like beavers without the tails.

I woke up some time around 5:30 this morning. Not too terribly anxious while I laid in bed, but I could not go back to sleep. Yet another side effect of my medication is apparently insomnia. Rack that one up there next to loss of appetite. I don't mind the loss of appetite, because it means I'm losing weight fairly well, but the inability to sleep until my alarm goes off is going to get irritating if it means I'm going to be dead tired at work. We shall see.

In case you missed it, I launched clockpunk.com for Dr. Roundbottom last night. I'll be posting notices here when I add new content, but it does have its own RSS feed if you're into that sort of thing. I've got client work to do tonight and the rest of the week, but I'll be coming back to the clockpunk site to do more work after that. There are some additional features I want to roll out.
