Photo of the Day: Morning, Deer
Taken with a 150mm lens. Which means I was about 15 feet away. It was weird. There was this whole huge herd of deer, and they were not afraid of me, strictly speaking. They were curious. They kept coming closer, not running away. I've never seen deer do that before, and I wonder if this herd has been fed before. They live in a relatively urban area. I've had to slow my car down for them before so that they could cross the street.
These kinds of encounters are almost enough to encourage you to get up at 5:30 in the morning and head out to the wilderness _every_ Saturday.
