This is interesting. It's a google maps mashup of incidents in the post election crisis in Kenya. Riots, violence, etc. It'll probably depress you moer than anything, but it's a citizen-powered tool for informing and getting around the government-controlled media blackout.

Also of interest is this site where a Lithuanian activist has organized a way to send money to those in need in Kenya via a weird system of money and phones. So for those of you who want a way to directly help those in need, this may be the way to do it.
