Reading; Plays

I'm trying to read plays now. Sarah has a stack of plays sat aside for me that she thinks I should read. I've started with a Shepard play called "Fool for Love." I thought I'd breeze through these things, because they look so small compared to novels. Unfortunately, no. I spend a lot of time visualizing what's on the page.

Hopefully I will learn something useful from plays that I can apply to my writing. Better dialogue, maybe? The three act structure?
