A random observation about my weird brain

When I'm trying to make the switch back from visual art to word ones, I come up with more visually interesting ideas, but my comprehension of plot sucks. I keep trying to picture a way to draw the story structure/plot. I want it to look like a puzzle piece, or a carefully balanced composition. I know how to balance a design. I don't know as well how to put the right pieces in the right places in a story to give it that same functional result as balance.

In other words, writing is hard, yo.
