I am now a stock photographer (among other things)
I just had my first acceptance and rejection from last week's uploads to iStock. They accepted a lichen-covered rock with some grass growing behind it and a blue sky. They rejected an old hotel sign due to the lighting--I think they think the highlights of the sky were blown out, when it was really just an overcast day, but no big deal. I have a night photo of the same sign that I wanted to try anyway.
It's kind of exciting, like waiting on story submissions. I'm waiting for all the others to be accepted or rejected before I start to upload the pirate shoot. I'm really nervous about that, because if those get rejected, I'm just going to feel awful, for having spent so much time and energy on them, only to find out I did something technically wrong.
Coincidentally, I've been raking in the rejections for my fiction this week as well, but they're not bothering me much. I feel good, except for my allergies kicking up. Ahh, spring.
