“To accomplish great things, we must not only act but also dream, not only plan, but also believe.”- by Anatole France
Who Is Renee?

Some of you making your way to this page won’t have a clue who Renee is. Renee is a loving mother of two daughters and one son, She is a devoted wife to Jon, and he equally devoted to her. Jon is also Renee’s primary caregiver. Many children in Renee’s small community have come through her door from her years of running a daycare.
Before Renee earned the titles of Mom and Wife, she was my kid sister, with whom I shared a bedroom until I married and left home. Renee is blessed to have four sisters. My name is Donna, and I’m the oldest child. We come from a very close knit family that plays hard as well as fights hard, but when one of us has had a crisis, we have always united on the battlefield to conquer what ever life has thrown at us.

Why Did We Create This Site ?
Renee has been plagued through out most of her adult life with serious health issues.
However, June 4th became the day she would face her most serious health crisis. That night at 11pm Renee had an emergency amputation of her right leg just below the knee due to complications from diabetes. I can honestly say it was one of the worst night of our lives. However, that night brought a moment of pure joy when 5 hours later we heard a cheerful voice say, “Hi Guys,” as the medical team wheeled her out of recovery. A major battle had just been won, but the road ahead was going to be extremely difficult!
A Song Is Born
As my sister struggled to learn to live with her new circumstances in life, I wanted to do something special for her. So being a lyricist, and knowing some wonderful music artists, “Take My Hand” (Song For Renee) was born. The artists that lent their talent and time to this track are from around the world. Macoco is from Argentina, Garni is in Australia, Lafayette is from France, Djev lives in Portugal, and the Sisters and myself reside here in the US. Our goal was to create a song that would encourage Renee and lift up her spirits.
I told my co-writer Macoco that I wanted a tune that would make my former rocker chick sister want to dance in her wheel chair. I think we succeeded!
An Idea Takes Shape
Meanwhile, the search has been on for the funds to help with the cost of equipment and home adaptation. As the days passed, it became more and more apparent that we were not
going to be able to enlist the help of agencies. Though she qualified for muliple programs, no money was available. The economy has hit everyone hard, including charitable organizations.
It was at this point that the idea was born to use “Take My Hand” as a fund raising tool. Renee is on a fixed income and unable to cover the costs of all the renovations that her home desperately needs for her to live.
At this point there is no way she can use her existing bathroom. Just getting in to her home is a major undertaking as her pathway to her door is gravel. We humbly ask for your help.
